| Fun Show ~ Show Bill Events will vary per show, and remember it's all about fun! Fun Show Entry Fees are $5 for whole show for Members and $10 for whole show for Non Members. Events are as follows: Walk Trot Western Pleasure Egg Race Lead Back Barrels Flags Key Hole Pair Sack Relay ____________________________________________________________________________________ TOY ROUND UP HISTORY - in October (usually the first or second Friday & Saturday in October each year): This ride was started by Kat Rush in 1996. She is still the person responsible for the rides success today!! The 2006 ride had 74 horses, 87 riders, 2 buggies, 2 wagons with 580 toys, 6 bicycles and 375.00 dollars of cash donated! This ride is getting bigger and bigger every year! Every year around the first weekend in October, on Friday, the Garden Plain Elementary school kids bring a new toy per kid to school. Then area horse owners give wagon rides to the kids as other helpers ride along with the wagons entertaining the kids! Then on Saturday "Toy Round" up goes from Cheney to Garden Plain. All the toys are hauled in wagons and all the riders enjoy a great day! When they arrive at they're destination, the Salvation Army supplies food, drinks and some snacks as THANKS. The Salvation Army says that this ride is the start to they're holiday season! Come join in the fun and a good cause at the next Toy Round up October 2010!! |
